The Balvenie 14 Y.O. Caribbean Cask

Single malt The Balvenie Caribbean is aged 14 years in traditional oak casks, after which it is finished in Caribbean rum casks. To create the ideal finish, Malt Master David Stewart MBE fills casks of American oak with a personally selected mixture of West Indian rums.
When he decides that the casks are ready, the rum is replaced with 14 year old whisky which spends another month in them, acquiring aromatic flavour notes. The result of this process is an exceptional single malt whisky with the delicate honey character of classic The Balvenie complemented with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, and with a long and warming finish. The rich, sweet and creamy aroma of toffee combined with the fresh fruity notes creates a long and delicate finish.
