Bruichladdich Organic

This whisky distilled from organic barley from the farm of Mid Coul is a complex reflection of the flavours of the local nature. Just as the master distillers refuse to give up traditional craft practices, so farmer William Rose refuses to use herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilisers. The key to the success of this method is the ancient practice of crop rotation. The barley used in the malt undergoes a seven-year cultivation cycle, alternating with cattle and sheep pasturing, oats, beans, grasses, carrots, and fallow years, giving it a megadose of green energy. Respect for the Earth, the soil, and the climate are the heart and soul of the deep understanding of terroir which results in Bruichalddich.
